MSD’s Primary Role • Advise the Administrator/Deputy Administrator on all aspects of institutional support to enable the Agency to successfully accomplish its missions • Manage the following functional support offices: • Headquarters Operations • Office of Human Capital Management • Strategic Infrastructure • Agency Operations • Shared Services Center • Program and Institutional Integration

Areas of Responsibility • Long-term mission support planning and execution • Mission support budget • Acquisition Strategy Planning process • Mission support policy implementation • Agency workforce strategy • NASA Shared Services • NASA procurement and financial assistance activities (excluding the Space Act) • Jet Propulsion Laboratory and Applied Physics Laboratory contract activities • Cross-cutting business processes
