Telecommunications Software & Systems Group • Established in 1996 • Largest ICT group of its kind in Irish 3rd level sector • Funding of over €50m to date • SFI, HEA PRTLI, EU FP7, Enterprise Ireland, EU Interreg IIIA+B, Eureka, EU eTEN, TSR Strand III, Industry • 40 currently active projects • 160 staff • Research Staff, Faculty, Principal & Senior Investigators, Postdoctoral Research Fellows, Postgraduate Students
TSSG Specialisms • MSc modules related to TSSG specialist areas • Communications Infrastructure & Management • Pervasive Communications Services • Software Tools & Methods • Autonomic Communications • Students often work closely with TSSG personnel & projects on dissertations
Entry Requirements • Honours degree in Computing or related discipline • Interview • As number of places are limited • To ensure good match of student with course (this works both ways) • Interview by telephone for overseas applicants
Fees • About €5000 for EU students • Scholarship of over €3000 available for up to 20 EU students • Effective fee is thus about €2000for those who qualify • VEC/Council grants also apply where appopriate
