South Jetty – Dune Stabilization • FY13 O&M Funding • Prevents further dune erosion and Pacific Ocean connecting to Trestle Bay • Completed 30 October 2013 • Dynamic cobblestone revetment: over 35,000 CY of stone placed
North Jetty Lagoon Fill and Critical Repairs (O&M) • FY14 & Proposed FY 15 O&M funds: • North Jetty Lagoon Fill: Completion June 2015 • North Jetty Critical Repairs: Completion September 2016 Critical Repairs Stabilization Areas Oct. 2012
MCR Jetty Major Rehabilitation FY14 “New Construction” start for Major Rehab Project $257M project includes repairs to all 3 jetties $1M received in FY14 to start Jetty A repairs $1M in FY15 PBUD to initiate North Jetty repairs

Oregon MOA for Low-Use Harbor Maintenance • MOA signed on August 28, 2013 • Up to $5 million a year for 5 years • State funds leverage Appropriations and USCG funds • FY14 Accomplishments • Over 360,000 cubic yards dredged in a clamshell contract (Rogue, Port Orford, Charleston, Winchester Bay, and Yaquina Bay) • 641,633 cubic yards dredged with the dredge Yaquina (Chetco, Rogue, Coquille, Umpqua, Siuslaw, Yaquina Bay and Skipanon) • Estimated 45,000 cubic yards to be dredged with a pipeline contract (Depoe Bay and Garibaldi Boat Basin) HME Yaquina HME

Coastal Structures District Portfolio: 44 Jetty and Breakwater Structures Over 230 Pile Dike Structures Condition: 14 have a structural condition rating of D or lower (D = An extensive portion of the structure has deteriorated to a condition that repairs are required) Need to protect the Federal investment and maintain function
Pile DikesPassive Channel Maintenance • Pile Dikes: decreased dredging requirements and increased habitat creation • Focusing Attention – 2013 OCA review of 4 most critical near Mouth of the Columbia River • Poor condition and expensive rehab requirements
