Network administrators can name the server anything… “Hypertext transfer protocol” Refers to a public web server. Typically, this means that it is for personal posting Northwestern University owns the domain “nwu.edu” “.edu” means a school… “intro.html” refers to the specific web page.

  3. #1 Student Activity • Give your students a list of web addresses and have them debate (without looking at the actual sites) what they think the purpose of each site is. • Log in and check the sites. Where they right?
