  2. We have been studying the Causes of the American Revolution Were the 13 colonies independent in 1750? • The 13 colonies were not independent. • King George III. • English Parliament.

  4. Review Who were the Sons of Liberty? • Sons of Liberty- A group of colonists who organized protests against British (for example they stop buying their products).

Causes of the American Revolution. • Taxation without representation. • Quartering Act.1775 British soldiers can stay in any privet home. • Sugar Act1764- tax sugar and imported goods. • Stamp Act1765-diplomas, contracts, newspapers, and playing carts. Stamp Act congress- boycotted • Townshend Acts1767 glass, paper, led, and tea- Boston Massacre 1770 • Tea Act 1773 Have to buy tea from England- Boston Tea Party • Coercive Act1774- Black the Boston harbor. Intolerable Act. First Continental Congress- train militias • Lexington MA, April 19, 1775 Revolutionary War starts.
