Bantu! • The main language is Bantu itself. • They make up 2/3 of Africa’s population. • They’re more known as a language than an ethnic group. • Mostly practice Muslim. • Mostly found in Central & Southern Africa.
Swahili • Mostly found in east Africa. • Language is a mixture between Arabic and Bantu, but they call it Swahili. • They are strict Muslims(Shia Muslim). • Most Swahilis live in Kenya.
Arab • Found in southwest Asia and northern Africa. • They speak Arabic. • Their religion is Islam. • From the Arabic slave trade, Mauritania, Senegal, Guinea-Bissau, Guinea, Mali, and Niger are now predominantly Muslim, as is the northern part of Nigeria.
Ashanti • Large ethnic group found mainly in Ghana on the west coast. • Speak mostly Twi as their main language • They live with all of their family members. • The Ashanti religion is a mixture of spiritual and supernatural powers.
