Stop Cyber Bullying • Cyber Bullying Definition • sending hurtful, mean text messages or emails • spreading rumors or lies about others by e-mail or on social networks • creating websites, videos or social media profilesthat embarrass or humiliate others • hacking, stealing passwords or posing as another online… • This can be done 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. http://ebullyingstatistics.com/cyber-bullying-facts/ Perhaps the most devastating aspect of cyber-bullying is that it is difficult to escape. A cyber bully is ever-present. However, you can take action…take a picture of a Facebook page and text it to an administrator, forward a text, inform others of a social media profile made in your name, be active and be loud. Don’t let a cyber bully off the hook. Tell an adult. Given the definition above, recall a time you were a victim of cyber bullying (or a cyber “joke”) or recall a time you observed another being victimized. What happened? What action did you take? What might you do now? Why?
