This scheme proposes a new, single-story building on an open site as near as possible to Amherst Center. · Scheme 3—Building a new meetinghouse on the current site. “As we look to the future and consider a new meetinghouse, we are interested in a facility that allows us to pursue our mission of spiritual development, greater and more diverse fellowship opportunities, community service and social justice in bigger ways, reflects our principles and values, and is welcoming to the larger community. We are committed to: · Remaining visible in the community · Being accessible to our current and future members · Having a space that meets and enhances our spiritual pursuits · Meeting our religious educational needs · Reaching others in the community who may be seeking what we have to offer · Existing in harmony with our environment” COMMITMENTS
