Overview • There is currently an IRT Reference Document (#81) standard describing a voice Technical Data Sheet • It would be beneficial to have a standardized TDS for packet data
Benefits • Large amounts of data must be exchanged between operators to implement PD roaming. • A packet data TDS could: • Provide a standard format so that operators need only complete a single TDS to roam with all operators • Reduce errors introduced in exchange process • Prepare for automated exchange of TDS information in the future
Examples data required for exchange • IP Addresses of infrastructure elements • Realms and the treatment realms should receive • Security policies: which ports are required to be open for applications
Next Steps • Determine Operator Interest • Develop Packet TDS (draft uploaded on server to server as start) • Present PD TDS at next IRT Meeting • Consider TDS for Operator/CRX exchange • Consider a system to automate exchange of TDS information
