  1. Warm-up, Tuesday 1/18 • Last week you watched the film, “Swing Kids”. • Besides the Jews, who else did the Nazi’s discriminate against? (try and come up with at least 2 other groups of people) • Why did the German Nazi’s and Fascists discriminate against these people?

Book Work: The Holocaust • Read from bottom of pg. 595-600. • Work in partners to split up this assignment, you WILL be quizzed on this material, so be thorough with your answers! • In your notes, define and describe the following: • Holocaust • Extermination Camp • Auschwitz • Final Solution • Answer this question: Why did many Jews remain in Germany even though they were persecuted? • On page 600, answer the 2 “Geography Skills” questions in the top right hand corner. Also, create a graphic organizer of “Extermination Methods” explained on bottom of page 600 under “Critical Thinking” (#6)
