  13. Scientific Method: What scientists do! • Ask a Question/determine a purpose • Comes from observing • Form a hypothesis=educated guess • Collect data

Control group=the group not receiving the factor being tested, nothing is done to this group • Independent variable=one part of an experiment that can change, determines the outcome • Dependent variable= factor being measured in an experiment • Analyze the Data Graphs, tables, charts, etc. • Report Conclusion
