  2. What is a knight? • A knight was an armed and horse-mounted warrior. He was a nobleman and often lord of his own manor who took up arms to fight for the lord of a fief (lord of a castle and village.)

  3. What happened at knight school?& how long did knights have to train • A knight went to a lords house at the age of seven and was trained to do archery and how to ride a horse, then became a squire and learnt to fight with a sword this took 14 years

  4. How many horses did knights have? • Rich knights had three horses the strongest was used for fighting and tournaments, the fastest was used for long journeys and the third was to carry their bags.

  5. What was a dubbing • A dubbing is a knight ceremony for new knights they would spend the night in a church and in the morning would get tapped on the shoulder with a sword.

  6. RANDOM FACT Jaufre (Jeffery) Rudel was a French knight who sent love letters to the beautiful countess of Tripoli even though he hadn’t met her and when he finally did meet her he fell in her arms dead.
