THOTS VocabularyRead through Ch. 5 by tomorrow (quiz)Read through Ch. 14 by next Tuesday • You will need to procure a pack of notecards (perhaps you have some from the beginning of the year?) • 3 week novel unit, 10 vocab words per week= 30 note cards • I’ll give you 5 vocab words for the week, you’ll need to come up with 5 of your own. They have to be words YOU DO NOT KNOW OR USE OFTEN • Each notecard: 1. word, 2. definition, 3. excerpt from book where it occurs, 4. your sentence • Chapter 1-14: desolation p.9, poppy p.11, consternation p.17, senile p.37, disconsolate p.38
