The Gay Games • Largest inclusive, LGBT-focused multi-sport (and cultural) gathering • Every 4 years in world-class host city • More than 10,000 participants and thousands more spectators • Motto: Participation, Inclusion and Personal Best ™ • Open to everybody 18 and older, gay and straight. • Open to all ability levels, from recreational to elite performers. • Stresses participation over winning.
The Gay Games: Major Events • Opening Ceremony • Draws 20,000 (participants and spectators) • Celebration includes Parade of Participants, performances and speeches • 35+ Sports and Cultural Events • Throughout week • Diversity of events: Marathon, Choral Concerts, Volleyball, Basketball, Softball and Track & Field • Parties, Performances, Events every Evening • Festival Village • Open to public • Stage, vendors, food and beverage stalls • Closing Ceremony • Celebration of performances and look forward to next Gay Games.
