EURES activities 2004-2007 • Training of EURES advisers, EURES assistants (at least 2 times per year), EURES Line-managers, training of all PES staff over the Estonia • (EURES assistants´ study trips to Finland, Sweden, Latvia) • Development of the quality service standarts for EURES services • Development of Estonian EURES web-pagewww.eures.ee, Estonian vacancies accessed through EURES system; regular translation of the labour market information and quides into Estonian, publishing of Estonian Living and Working conditions • Publication of the promotion materials for job seekers and employers • Participation at domestic and international job fairs • Survey on Estonian wishes to work abroad, December 2004 • Active recruitment campaigns (Ireland, UK, Finland, • Sweden, Cypros) • Active promotion of EURES services (meedia, radio, • TV, different events)

EURES activities2008-2009 • Publishing of the quides on Estonian of Living and Working conditions in 15th EU countries (Latvia ect) • European Job Fair, 26 of September 2008, National Library, Tallinn • Cross Border cooperation with Finland, subsidy request to EURESCo (December 2008) and recognation of EURES -T project (offices in Tallinn and Helsinki) • Further cooperation with Chamber of Commerce • (15 joint seminars), Employer organisation, trade unions • Meedia campaign altogether with EU networks, November 2008 • Conference for private recruitment companies, 2009 • Participation at main domestic and international job fairs (Poland, Bulgaria, Slovenia, Germany, • Ireland “ Come back actions”)

EURES Services in figures, 2007 • Contacts of Estonian EURES network with job-seekers and employers – 9 917 (among them 170 companies) • Number of visits (www.eures.ee) – average 8 000 people per month • Events organised by the EURES – 29, number of participants 3200 • Performance in other events (fairs, workshops, etc) - 46 • number of participants 1400 • Contacts with EURES in other countries 740

EURES Services integration problems • High rate of EURES personnel changes !!! • need time and big effort to create the human network and useful contacts among the partners • need further integration of EURES services into the country side • Limited number of EA positions (need for EURES adviser dealing with employers and recruitment into Estonia)=> marketing, talor - made servises • Low motivation of EURES assistants in some areas • Dependence on local labour market situation and economical/political situation in country

Successstory • Estonian job seekers are enough well informed on EURES services (monitoring through internet forums – only positive feedback), high number of Estonian EURES web-site visitors • Story, which setsthe phrase“turkey killers” in meedia  • Recruitment projects with Ireland (still running since 2003 year) • In 2004 year – 187 temporary jobs, 70 permanent • And lots of small/individual success stories..... • Feedback from our clients how EA helps in difficult situation • (Finland, Spain, Denmark, Ireland.....)
