  3. Set • Where you are filming? • Don’t just choose someplace easy; choose the right setting • If it is a private business you MUST get the business’ ok.

  4. Clothing • Make sure the clothing matches your story • Does it speak metaphorically?

  5. Lighting • Is it overlit? • Shadows?

  6. CostumeS • Try and avoid period pieces. • It is VERY hard to make a historical film with no budget and set in Elmira.
