Professional Development Opportunities • Class notebook Training- September 12thfrom 7:30 – 10: 30 am • For teachers interested in using Class Notebook in their math classes, a training has been scheduled for September 12th from 7:30 – 10:30 and will be presented by Holly Lanham from Technology. The location of this training will be announced at a later date. • New Teacher Training – September 26th from 7:30 – 10:30, October 24th 7:30 – 10:30 • If you have any new teachers that have joined the math department, we are having a special training for them on September 26th from 7:30 – 10:30. The location will be announced at a later date. • There will be another new teacher training on October 24th from 7:30 – 10:30. The location will be announced at a later date. • Data Analysis Training – October 10th from 7:30 – 10:30 • This training include a presentation by the DAT team to help the math department teachers analyze their data. The location for this training will be announced at a later date.
Assessments • Baseline Assessments: • On the calendar for Algebra 1, Algebra 1B, Geometry and Geometry Honors, two days have been allotted for the administration of the Baseline. • For all other courses, one day has been allotted for the Baseline Administration. • Unit/Section Assessments: • Section Assessments for Algebra 1, Algebra 1B, Geometry, and Geometry Honors are available online through Unify. Paper versions of these assessments can be downloaded through Unify. • Unit Assessments are also available for Algebra 1A, Algebra 2, Algebra 2 Honors, Prob-Stat, and Math For College Readiness are available online through Unify. Paper versions of these assessments can be downloaded through Unify. Note: Algebra 2 and Algebra 2 Honors assessments are not the same. Algebra 2 assessments are written for the Pearson curriculum and Algebra 2 Honors are written for the Math Nation curriculum. • Test Id numbers will be posted on the Review and Assessment page to indicate that they are available.
Instructional Materials • Math Nation materials should have arrived the week of Preplanning. • Schools need to let their specialist know if they have extra books or a shortage and how many. • All Math Nation materials are available online for immediate use • Financial Algebra • All Financial Algebra Materials should have been delivered. Please let know us know if you have extra books or a shortage and how many you need. • All Financial Algebra materials are available online at walchconnect.com for immediate use. • Teacher Editions were given out during Inservice and will need to barcoded for your school. • OneNote houses the Year At A Glance, Curriculum Guides, and Resources for each course • Teachers and Administration can view the curriculum by going to curriculum guides on OneView. • Please make sure to use TEAMS for any questions or concerns.
