Short Course on Engineering Anthropometry WEAR World Engineering Anthropometry Resource Day 1 - Introduction • Course overview • Anthropometric data types • Measurement issues: principle and practical aspects • 3-D scanning and data processing • Use of online database system • Basic statistical methods Day 2 – Advanced Tools and Applications • 3-D data forms • 3-D data navigation and search • Statistical shape analysis • Make a fit-map • Applications case studies • Case selection for human apparel manikins Will include a CD Rom with software, sample data sets (1D an 3D), course notes, reference list and hands-on practice. Participants get temporary access to demo version of online WEAR. A 3-D scanner will be available during the course. Participants may bring their own laptop (must be PC) for practice.
