Nomination process for IRT Co-Chairs • IRT Co-Chairs • Both Chairs are from CDG member carriers. • Term: Two (2) years • After two (2) years, we will open nomination process. • If the former co-chair would like to nominate themselves for the list, or someone would like to nominate the co-chair again, that would be acceptable. • The longest term will be four (4) years (2 consecutive terms) • It is favorable to have the other Co-Chair remaining for at least six (6) months after one Co-Chair steps down. • In case that there are more than two nominees, we will open voting to CDG member carriers. • Both carriers and vendors can nominate someone, however only CDG carriers can cast one vote in the election (One CDG member carrier, one vote). • If there is a tie for the election there will be a tie breaker election
Responsibilities for IRT Co-Chairs • Facilitate the IRT meetings by being the host and primary CDG IRT team • speaker • 2. Be the "face" of the IRT roaming team for outside vendors, new carriers, • etc • Facilitate finding carrier or vendor sponsor locations for upcoming IRT • roaming team meetings • Facilitate finding speakers to provide presentations on various topics • across the entire IRT team for the MWG, BWG and TWG groups • 5. Provide insight and final approvals to agendas as they are being created • Help to facilitate and provide more active participation from all IRT • carriers/vendors at the IRT meetings and conference calls • Determine direction of CDG IRT, taking account of CDMA carriers perspective and consulting IRT leads team for assistance • Write and send IRT announcement emails and an article for the IRT journals. • Attend monthly conference calls, pre leads face to face meetings, and yearly face to face meeting.
Nomination process for Working Group Co-Leads • Working Group Co-Leads • The 2 Working Group Co-Leads can be from either a carrier or a vendor CDG member company (Both Co-Leads of a Working Group may not be from the same CDG member company. • Term: Two (2) years • After two (2) years, we will open nomination process. • If the former co-lead would like to nominate themselves for the list, that would be acceptable. • The longest team will be four (4) years. • It is favorable to have the other Co-Lead remaining for at least six (6) months after one Co-Lead steps down. • In case that there is more than one nominee for each open WG co-lead position, we will open voting to all CDG member carriers and vendors. • If there is a tie for the election there will be a tie breaker election.
Responsibilities for Working Group Co-Lead 1. Organize and lead the working group interim and face to face meeting agendas 2. Develop ideas for working group topics, facilitate ownership of the topics, encourage work, conference calls, face to face presentations for these topics 3. Communicate work items and/or topics to the working group and roaming carriers via the wiki, email, IRT presentations, IRT Journal and CDG website 4. Participate in IRT leadership activities, including contributing to agenda planning 5. Assist in finding speakers for meeting topics, gathering presentations and reviewing presentation content 6. Encourage adoption of past work items and team recommendations 7. Help maintain an open/honest collaborative work environment across the working group community 8. Take notes/action items of WG session for the wrap up emails and journal 9. Attend monthly conference calls, pre leads face to face meetings, and yearly face to face meeting
