KARA KİLİSE • Kara Kilise (Black Church) is one of the historical monuments in Yalova/Çiftlikköy. It belongs to the Byzantine period. It remained as a temple then it changed to a church in the time of Rome Empire. The architecture belongs to 4th-5th Century.The church is made of rubble stone and bricks in the shape of open Greek Cross. It has got a cylindirical tower shaped dome on top where the cross arms are connected.
RÜSTEM PAŞA CAMİİ • Rüstem Paşa Mosque, located in Yalova city centre, is an Ottoman Empire period architectural monument. It is made in 17th century by Ottoman sultan Rüstem Paşa. It has got dome-shaped and square structure architecture.
TERMAL ATATÜRK KÖŞKÜ • Thermal Atatürk Mansion is built by the architect Prof.Hakkı Eldem in 1929 in 38 days. The mansion is completely made of wood with two floors. Today, the mansion is open to the visitors as a museum.
HERSEKZADE AHMET PAŞA CAMİİ • Hersekzade Ahmet Paşa Mosque is made by Hersekzade Ahmet Paşa in 16th Century in Altınova-Yalova. The mosque is made of square planned cut stone with a baroque style marble door frame. Both the ceiling and the roof are made of wood. The minbar and the mihrab are made of marble which are samples of 16th century. Small columns are placed to the both sides and covered with muqarnas.
