  3. What is Psychology? • The scientific study of people • The scientific study of affect, behavior, cognition, and physiology/biology.

  4. Who are Psychologists? • The field of psychology is split in halves: Professional Practice versus Research and Teaching Abnormal(affect, behavior, cognition, physiology/biology) versus Normal(affect, behavior, cognition, physiology/biology)

Shaped by cultural heritage • Influenced jointly by heredity and environment • How to approach psychology: 7. People’s experience of the world is highly subjective.
