1 - Village – AID program (V-AID) “Village Reconstruction”1930s by F. L. Brain Purpose was to clean villages, enhance fertility of land, construction of houses with suitable air and light flow, and abolish unproductive habits and mindset of the people The name changed to V-AID program after 1947

3 – Rural Works Program: (1962-63) to uplift socio-economic aspect ofteh poor through employement generation Follow a local approach for development Participate in national planning efforts

i). Agriville Program: (1972) Construction of a small town with necessary public and socio-economic services
Services provided at Agriville are: i). Offices of local govt, ii). Offices of cooperative, iii). Village’s own library, iv). Civic center with meeting room facility, v). Exhibition room, vi). Banks, vii). Stores for agro-based industries, viii). Employment exchange, ix). Hospital, x). Schools, xi). Vocational training centers, xii). Park and play ground, xiii). Workers’ housing colonies, xiv). Cinema and restaurant
ii). Integrated Rural Development Program: (1972) Officially 50-60 villages were included in one unit and the purpose was to uplift socio-econommic lives of the people Important aim was to development linkages between villages and related govt departments.
