John. John The Apostle(6-100 AD) Was one of the twelve apostles He also wrote the Epistles of John and Book of Revelations He was the son of Zebedee and Salome, and his brother was James Christianity venerated him as a saint
John’s Gospel The gospel of John was written for Jewish Christians who were expelled from synagogues after the roman revolt. The gospel is written to strengthen faith and to win converts. These goals are important because they lead to eternal life. John wrote and recorded some of Jesus’ most amazing miracles/events.
John’s Gospel Even though John’s gospel is complex it is outline is simple. It has two major sections, The book of signs and The book of Glory. John’s gospel was written to encourage followers and taught of Jesus' miracles. The composition of his gospel was between 90 AD through 100 AD.
