Myalgic Encephalomyelitis • M.E instead of Myalgic Encephalomyelitis. • Campaign reached its goal in 3 days and ended with four times its original goal of 50,000 USD and 2593 backers. • It increased its goal to “200,000 USD and 6509 backers”. (“if you increase 3 dollars to your pledge we will reach our goal”) • Compelling intro video. • Director and campaign organizers advocating as “invisible people” with disabilities. • Self filming by patients including the director. Exposing the most vulnerable moments. • Endorsement of successful writers and artists suffer from M.E.

Symptoms of M.E • Malaise after exertion • Unrefreshingsleep, widespread muscle and joint pain, sore throat, headaches of a type not previously experienced, cognitive difficulties • Chronic and severe mental and physical exhaustion, and other charateristic symptoms in a previously healthy and active person • Increased sensitivity to light sounds and smells, digestive disturbances, depression etc.
