THE ROLE OF MI THEORY IN THE REFORM OF NATIONAL EDUCATION
Selcuk; The head of the board education in Turkey. • This change stemmed from; • The technological and scientific developments in the world, • Adaptation to European Union criteria, • National requirements. The cornerstones of this educational transformation were the progressive approach in philosophy, a cognitive-constructive approach in theory, and MI theory as a pedagogical model. • Workshops; • How MI theory could be inserted in curriculum design. • Seminars; • How MI-based practises could be incorporated in textbooks.
Some teachers were focused on MI theory rather than the curriculum itself. • Some mistakes were made in inserting MI-based practices in textbooks. The principles for preparing daily lesson plans in all schools throughout Turkey were published in the form of e regulation, and daily lesson plan standards based on MI were shaped. Thought was given to how teachers can benefit from MI theory in preparing a daily plan, implementing it, organizing materials like worksheets, using books in the practice period, and testing and evaluation.
