What makes this event different from any other: • First of it’s kind “ultra off-road” to include a swim • Spectator friendly – viewing on swim and cycle close to start • Its safe, tougher & more challenging than any other • It has a canoe & swim option • It is in a beautiful unique setting and venue • The course is put together by SA’s leading Triathlon, Mountain Bike and Running professional's (BSG EnergadeTriseries, Sasol Cross & Prestige Ultra & many more) • It’s professionally timed • It will be televised THE FACTS

THE EVENTS DATE & VENUE: • ROCKMAN X-Triathon @ The Peninsula, Vaal Dam (Venue Partner) 1st December 2013, Sunday ROCKMAN DISTANCES: • 2km Swim or 16km Canoe • 70 km Mountain Bike • 16 km Run QUALIFIERS: • Participants will have to provide evidence of fitness level in order to qualify by completing at least one TSA recognised Triathlon or Duathlon event within the current season

  3. FAMILY EVENT - DATE & VENUE: • Supporting Events – Saturday, 30th November • Family Sprint Event • RockKids Adventure Race • Open Water Swim 500m & 1000m

ATHLETE EVENT OFFERING • Winning of an exclusive title for some • Great prizes over – R120 000! • Including sponsor value prizes & R70k is cash! • Premium brand jacket/shirt & Goody Bag • Trophies for all finishers “The Rock” • Pasta Party – pre event • Accommodation (free camping facilities included on site) • Sponsors goodies • Refreshments on course • Professional event management • Pre event registration • Television coverage • Family & kids participation in other events

CSI – COMMUNITY SOCIAL INVESTMENT • As organisers of the ROCKMAN Event we are committed to supporting sport development in our local communities. • A ROCKMAN trust fund will be set up and a % of athlete’s entry fee will go to building sport in our communities. We will also be collecting old sports gear from our athletes to donate to disadvantaged sports people within the community. • Additional donations can also be made on registration. • The organisers will implement a programme to use these funds to best develop sport in the community, e.g. by creating sports workshops to teach children about the benefits of being fit and living a healthy lifestyle. • Race participants can make a big difference by signing up to “Race for a Reason” and get sponsored, if they choose this option, they race is a special colour shirt and receive recognition for their efforts! • Local schools are given the opportunity to supply services and staffing in order to assist them with fundraising
