Plagues. Types of plagues. Bubonic plague The bubonic plague had a couple of Symptoms Fist-size swellings ( bulboes ) when the patient was bitten the bulboes would appear. Swellings were very painful, most patients only survived for a couple days it they had that long.

Types of plagues • Bubonic plague • The bubonic plague had a couple of Symptoms • Fist-size swellings (bulboes) when the patient was bitten the bulboeswould appear. • Swellings were very painful, most patients only survived for a couple days it they had that long. • Some characteristics of the buboes are: they are red at first, but later on they turn a dark purple, or black; this is where the term Black Death orginated from.

Types of Plagues • Septicemic Plague • It came from fleas or body contact of an infected body. • It enters the body through the bloodstream causing the patient only to live for a day. • The patients blood would turn black, thick and a smelly with a greenish scum mixed in it. • This disease would spread pretty fast.

Types of Plagues • The Pneumonic Plague • This plague was one of the worst, it was very contagious, the infected people could spread it so easily by only just breathing or coughing. • People only lived for a few hours. • This plague had a variety of symptons: • Trouble breathing • Spitting up blood • Various boils and dark patches on the skin.

How the plagues Spread • The plagues had spread through fleas and rats, traveling to different places. • The worst place it hit was Europe it had killed over two-thirds of the population. • Also there was any cure because doctors didn’t want to get close to it, because they couldn’t contain it.

Where it Spread • It Spreaded all the Europe • It affected Europe heavily, farmers couldn’t produce crops, because they were dying everyday. • The education level in Europe decline massively • The qualifications to have a high position in Europe declined also because people needed help with things.

  7. How it affected Europe • When the plagues was killing mostly everybody. The people that were still living had tried to make a change in their life • They were either going to try to live life to the fullest before they died or they decided to go to Christianity.

  8. How it affected Europe • Also people where spending and selling all they had, because they figured if they were about to die why keep it if you can’t spend it. • They were engaging in lifely pleasures.

Where it spreaded • The plagues were very mobile they just didn’t stay in one place it traveled all over, like in such places like Spain, it eventually went into France. • It went into Spain and traveled very quickly and harshly • It was mainly where the most people lived or where at this time
