Frogs Heqet or Heket – goddess of fertility The frogs dying throughout the land of Egypt turned the symbol of new life into one of death and dying. Many gods are represented by cattle The Hebrew God has dominion and power over Egypt’s gods. Pestilence Hail Nut, Osiris, and Set – gods of weather, crops and fertility The God of the Hebrews has power over the weather, can effect the crops, and growth – over and above the power of the Egyptian gods. Darkness Ra – chief god and sun god The Hebrew God is so powerful that He can overpower even the most powerful of the Egyptian gods.
