  5. TRIO Talks • TRIO Talks are listed on the last pages of the Newsletter. • You may also attend any workshop sponsored by the Tutorial Center (see your folder for dates and times). • Please let us know if you attend a Tutorial Workshop so we can give you credit for attending.

  6. Trio has a limited funds for student stipends this year. Distribution will be based on unmet need. • You MUST be Pell eligible and enrolled in BCC’s TRIO Student Support Services Program no later than the Fall semester of 2013. • You MUST have enrolled in and successfullycompleted a minimum of 9 non-developmental credits with a grade ofC or better in both the Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 semesters. • Your GPA for both Fall 2013 and Spring 2014 is least a 3.0 or higher. • You have scheduled and attended two meetings with a member of the TRIO Staff each semester. One of these meetings should be at mid-semester to review your progress. (Be sure to sign a Contact Sheet with the TRIO Staff person at each of these meetings.) • You have attended a minimum of two TRIO Talks (in person or online) and one Cultural Eventeach semester. These activities must be completed prior to the last day of classes each semester. • A list of TRIO Talks and Cultural Events for the Fall Semester is mailed in late August and is available on the TRIO Blog. Lists for the Spring Semester will be mailed to you in January. Duplicate TRIO talks will not be accepted. • BCC Forum Events can count as Cultural Events and Tutorial Center Workshops can count as TRIO Talks. It is your responsibility to notify the TRIO Program of your attendance at one of these workshops within two weeks of the event. • You must be pre-registered for Fall 2014 by the end of the Spring 2014 semester.

Pell Lifetime Limits • Beginning in December 2011students are limited to 12 semesters (600%) of Pell Grant eligibility during their lifetime. • These limits are based on full time attendance. • There is no “grandfather clause”. The clock starts from the first time you received Pell monies. • If you are less than full time, you use a lesser percent.
