Overall Findings SRC 2012 didn’t provide an overall rank-order • They felt we have a minimum set of missions – nothing can be turned off • SRC rated Missions in 5 Metrics: • Discovery Space, Long Term Impact, Publications/$, Synergy, Criticality • SRC also considered missions among each class • Great Observatories: HST & Chandra • Discovery/Probe Class: Kepler, Fermi, Spitzer • Explorer: Swift • Foreign: Planck, Suzaku, XMM-Newton Overall Recommendations: • Reduce cost of mission operations • Increase GO funding Astro 2012 SR - Presentation to AAAC
