Summary And share via links to friends and family Download using ‘Web Albums’ App
Image flow And share via links to friends and family
Saving Photos to Tablet from Camera You need Hardware + App
Sharing from Phone or Tablet via email and The Cloud Email • The easiest for one or two photos • Gets complicated, big and very slow for a whole album • For albums it’s best to send a link to a Cloud Service
Using a Cloud service – Android via PicasaGoogle Gallery App
Suggested Cloud Services for Photos • iCloud (IOS only) • Dropbox • Sky Drive • Google Drive /Picasa
Windows 8 – Prices • XP Security Releases end 8 April 2014 • Windows 7 on Amazon £70 to £140 • Windows 8 upgrade on Amazon £60 • Lenovo IdeaPad S405 - £350 (Tech Radar recommended, Win 8 built in)
Issues with Windows 8 • Two O/S in One • OMG – No Start Button • Modern Touch Screen and Traditional Desktop • Many (most?) traditional admin apps are in new locations • Steep learning curve • New full screen apps not well suited to traditional desktop users
Is Windows 8.1 the Answer? • Return of the Start Button (sort of) • Full screen apps share screen • Boot to desktop • Better ‘Settings’ (duplicates Control Panel) • Customise start screen
