  1. The “five second rule?” Is it actually ok to eat food off the floor, even if it was there for less than five seconds?

  2. Directions for Article Carefully annotate the article so that you can read critically and deeply to understand what is happening. You will be meeting with a small group AFTER we read and annotate, AND only one person’s answers will be graded, so make sure you will not be letting your group down! Set up an entry for today in your Tri 3 Google Doc. Today is Mon, 4/21. I will RANDOMLY select whose file I will check for your whole group. Work as a group to discuss answers to the questions on the following slide.

  3. Discuss the following questions with your group. This article spells out a disagreement of sorts. Summarize the disagreement. What 1 or 2 sentences lets the reader know s/he will be reading about a disagreement? What did the study from England (the British study) find? What did the study out of Clemson University find? How can both studies be right? (In other words, what is the main difference between the studies?) Why should I believe Jeffery T. LeJeune? Which study do you think the author of this article most agrees with? How do you know this?
