Meadowbank School has participated in Trees for Survival for many years and have been planting native trees and flaxes on Mataia Farm at Glorit on the Kaipara to prevent erosion for a number of years. This year, Room 28 the current TFS class, was invited to run a Name the Kiwi competition at Meadowbank which resulted in the name Iwik being chosen.Coco, Sophie and Dania created a special card to present to Gill Adshead and Iwik.The class was represented by Dania who was amongst a select few to be present at the actual release.
