Wikipedia Definition • Found poetry is a type of poetry created by taking words, phrases, and sometimes whole passages from other sources and reframing them as [Cutout] poetry by making changes in spacing and/or lines (and consequently meaning), OR by altering the text by additions and/or deletions [Blackout].
Your Task • Create a Found Poem [Blackout style] using a page of text from the book you are reading. • Select the words of your poems and artistically black out the surrounding words.
