Experience Morocco during a 2 weeks immersion in May! • Earn credit! • Customized learning • Individual Projects • Guided Visits and opportunities for creative work and field study • One on one: optional language practice and learning (French and Arabic) • One on one: service learning (English teaching)
Home stays (great food!) • Cultural visits in Fez, Marrakech, Casablanca, Roman ruins, islamic sites, medinas, kashbas, souks… • Eco-travels in the Atlas mountains, the Sahara….
Who can participate ?Students, faculty and staff from MSU and other professionals • Be at least Sophomore • 21 years of age or parental consent • Be able to respect rules and regulations and be respectful of other cultures. • Be able to conduct an individual project • Participate in program activities
Academic credits: 3:00 • This “petit” internship is a program with guided as well as independent activities, to be completed as directed. • The courses selected for credit are geared to validate experience abroad: • GUI 188/HUM 205 • Independent study projects to be determined prior to departure with academic advisor in agreement with individual instructors in the different departments concerned for the following courses: FRE451, FRE 455/ ART 390/HON 164/ HON 355/MCG 351/ ENG 488
Course work • Form (contract) to be filled upon registration and during the first meeting. • Academic advisor grade on basis of performance and participation during the internship and upon submission of final project report • Instructor (individual depts) grade for content and quality of project, evaluation upon return
