ESS – Access (Security) • 9 weeks prior Employers receive request to name Security Administrator • Request EIN/TIN number • 2 weeks prior MainePERS assigns User Names and Initial Passwords to Security Administrators • Go-Live Employer Security Administrators set-up their user’s user name, initial password, and security access.

  6. ESS – Access (Security) • User Security Access assigned by “Group” • Security Administrator has full access • Group settings will allow one-step set-up • Groups • Payroll • Human Resources • Payroll/HR • Limited Access • Employer User Default Read-Only • Review Draft and provide feedback
