  2. 3rd Level Control in the UK • Focus on the functioning of the FLC • 5 Scottish project partners selected • North Sea checks were part of a coordinated effort covering 4 programmes

  3. The Findings 14 findings were made: • Procurement • Incomplete audit trail • Overhead • Silly findings

  4. Action taken Formation of a joint task-force (DCLG, AA, JTS): • Reviced guidelines/checklists • Additional checks of the 5 first projects • New checks of 21 projects

  5. Current situation Interruption still not lifted: • Approximately 50% of the original findings are cleared – some work is still outstanding • Additional checks of the 5 first projects and conclusions on those plus the 21 additional projects • Some “blood on the floor” will be necessary!
