Ross’ Rules Students should adhere to the following rules to ensure an orderly and productive classroom environment in Algebra I
USE 12-INCH VOICES WHEN TALKING IS PERMITTED Be aware of the instances when quiet talking is allowed, such as group activities and partner work. I will remind you once and expect compliance.
COME TO CLASS ON TIME Standing outside the door, rushing in as soon as the tardy bell rings and/or not being in your assigned seat will constitute a tardy.
BRING REQUIRED MATERIALS EVERY DAY Workbooks, notebooks, paper, and pencils are daily requirements.
NO FOOD, GUM, CANDY, DRINKS, ELECTRONICS, OTHER ASSIGNMENTS, OR GROOMING/BEAUTY ITEMS ARE ALLOWED Such items will be thrown away, confiscated until the end of class or given to administration for parent pickup.
REMAIN IN YOUR ASSIGNED SEAT UNLESS AUTHORIZED OTHERWISE Permission to sharpen pencils, throw away trash and get tissue should be asked as discreetly as possible.
ABSOLUTELY NO CHEATING Students caught cheating will receive a zero and a discipline referral. Both the person who copies AND the student who shares his/her work for an independent assignment will suffer the same consequences.
FOLLOW ALL DIRECTIONS (verbal or written), ACCURATELY AND IMMEDIATELY
