Curricula, support documents and on-line resources are available for two types of in-school programs: Core Ukrainian Language Education K-12 Ukrainian-English Bilingual Education K-12 With some adaptation, these resources may also be used to support out-of-school programs, such as Sadochok and Ridna Shkola. Saskatchewan Learning has completed its five-year curriculum writing project with the Chernivtsi Ministry of Education. Four documents, titled Canada-Ukraine Teaching Units, are available in both print and electronic form. They may be viewed at www.sasked.gov.sk.ca/docs/int_lang.html
Summer Language Immersion Program • Four Ukrainian language camps received funding in Summer 2003. • Grants for these programs have been provided by Saskatchewan Learning since 1991. • The Mohyla Summer Immersion Program provides students with the opportunity to receive high school credits for Ukrainian language learning.
Heritage Languages Program In the 2002-2003 school year, 66 students participated in out-of-school Ukrainian language instruction through the Heritage Languages Program.
