The Course of the Gentiles • Drinking Parties = A Drinking Match • The Only Place In The New Testament This Word Appears. • The Word Refers To A Group That Challenges Each Other In Drinking. • Albert Barnes Goes As Far As To Say It Condemns Christians From Attending A Gathering Where The Sole Purpose Is For The Drinking of Alcohol.

13. The Course of the Gentiles • Abominable Idolatries = The Worship of Idols That God Finds Abominable. • This Helps Fit These Activities Into Their Proper Context. In Other Words, All of These Debaucheries Were Done In The Worship of False Gods.
