When should you use one? • A written letter (business letter format) that indicates your interest in a position and explains your suitability for that position. • Gives the opportunity to showcase your written communication skills. • Allows you to highlight and go into more detail the key strengths and abilities that you have that relate to the position. • You should send one every time you apply for a position that you don’t apply for in person.
