Welcome Remarks • Greetings to all participants on behalf of AUC • All protocol observed • Gratitude to CNAQ and the HAQAA Implementing Consortium for organising the meeting • This gathering is useful event to discuss the updated version of ASG-QA and next steps • It is also a good forum to look at the proposed methodology for HAQAA external evaluations of QA agencies and consultancy visits
Some Points for Consideration HAQAA initiative outcomes need to be documented • AAU AQRM evaluation reports and analysis of survey Register / Database (QAAs, QA experts, Ministries) • HAQAA-WG Finalized document of ASG-QA Report on external evaluations of QA agencies • DAAD Report on QA trainings outcomes
Some Points for Consideration • HAQAA Secretariat Coordinate and manage outcome reporting process • Advisory Board Regional domestication of ASG-QA and other HAQAA initiatives • AU-EU Policy guidance and overall monitoring Communication Strategy Ensure visibility of African Union as HAQAA is implementation of its harmonisation agenda
Main Action Lines of PAQAF • Facilitate collaboration and networking between national and regional QA/accreditation agencies • Initiate organizational set-up and legal framework of a Continental Accreditation Agency • Finalise the development of African Standards and Guidelines for Quality Assurance • Advance the development of an African Credit Transfer System • Initiate the development of an African Continental Qualifications Frameworkbased on existing national and regional qualifications frameworks
