Benchmark: Improved Maternal and Newborn Health

This initiative aims to improve maternal and newborn health outcomes by tracking prenatal care, health behaviors, mental health, substance abuse, child development, parenting skills, and community referrals. Data collection includes a wide range of indicators to measure progress and identify areas for improvement.

Benchmark: Improvements in School Readiness and Achievement • Data collected by FamilyWise: Construct: Home Observation Measurement of the Environment - HOME scale (Observation), Healthy Families Parenting Inventory-HFPI scale (self-report), North Carolina Family Assessment-NCFAS scale (observation), preschool enrollment (self-report)  KIDI (Knowledge of Infant Development Inventory) Ages and Stages Questionnaire (self report can use with observational evidence, ask the parents to ‘show me’ how the child does on each skill) and LSP- Infant/Toddler Development Ages and Stages Questionnaire Ages and Stages Questionnaire – Social Emotional, LSP – Infant/Toddler Development Parent support for children's learning and development (e.g., having appropriate toys available, talking and reading with their child) Parent knowledge of child development and of their child's developmental progress Child’s communication, language and emergent literacy Child’s general cognitive skills Child’s positive approaches to learning including attention

Benchmark: Child Injuries, Child Abuse, Neglect, or Maltreatment and Reduction of Emergency Department Visits • Data collected by FamilyWise: Construct: Incident Report collected on paper now, will be in the database as of July 1 Intervention topics includes; car seat, fire, shaken baby, safe sleep. FamilyWise has focused on increasing measurement of Domestic Violence.
