Quiz http://www.quia.com/quiz/4031846.html
Right info or Truth The Statue of Liberty was a gift to the U.S.A. The Statue is a symbol that America has liberty, no slavery or monarchy. It was designed by Gustave Eiffel and sculpted by Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi. It was a lighthouse in it’s earlier years. The statue was made in France and sent over piece by piece. The pedestal was made by America though. Liberty Island is located in New Jersey state border but it is New York’s island.
Wrong info or Myth The Statue of Liberty was a going to be a gift to many other Countries before U.S.A. It was going to be an African lady or a Roman goddess. It was designed by a random 21 year old. It is a light house. The statue was made in America but the pedestal was crafted in France. Liberty Island was always in the New York state border.
From Here on Out The rest is all truth!!! Not myth at all!!!
Gift to America or not The statue was a gift for the U.S.A Revealed on July 4th of 1876 or 100th anniversary of the U.S.A It did not go to other countries France made sure we would get it
Stands for Liberty (it’s in the name) No slavery Antimonarchy-no kings Not a lighthouse but was one until 1901 Not An African or Roman goddess because going to America
Design Gustave Eiffel designed the Eiffel Tower and the Statue of Liberty The statue was sculpted Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi A random 21 year old didn’t design it In fact if you looked at the infrastructure of the statue you would see it looks like the tower
Statue:France:Pedestal:U.S.A The title is an analogy meaning France made the statue and the U.S.A made the pedestal It was certainly not the other way around because then Gustave would not have designed it and Frederic-Auguste Bartholdi would not have sculpted it
Liberty Island • Liberty island is actually located in New Jersey and New York • New Jersey by state border • New York by acceptance meaning New Jersey lets them have it
