Before The Meeting • Establish Staff • Understand why you are holding the meeting • Schedule all activities • Include time for transition and questions • Set long term and short term goals • Get all cadet staff involved • Get your schedule out early • Expect it to be changed

During The Meeting • Start on time • Stick to schedule but remain flexible • Assign a cadet to greet new cadets • Maintain a positive attitude
After The Meeting • Assign Element Leaders to call absent cadets • Debrief • Base next meeting on the course of the prior meeting
Meeting Do's and Don'ts • Have something fun during your meeting • Drill should not be used as your filler • GLPs should not be used as fillers • The more the cadets are doing outside of classes the better • Ensure you are still getting your meeting objectives met • Current with training syllabus
Activities • Plan for monthly activities • Include training activities in addition to fun activities • Start a drill team, color guard, or CyberPatriot team
The Staff Meeting • Should be held about twice a month • Decide who to include • Set a start and end time • Should be brief and informative • Schedule time for questions • Tasks assigned to specific individuals do not need to be covered during meeting time • Get the perspective of staff
