  4. What is Faith? • Not proof, but conviction • pistis(n. faith) / pisteuo(v. believe) “to consider something reliable and worthy of trust” • peitho= to persuade, convince • faith/belief = assurance/conviction • opposite of faith is not doubt but disbelief
