  2. What is DropBox? • DropBox is a free software download that allows you to synchronize or backup your files you get a 2 GB of space free. If you want more space you have to pay. • The content in your DropBox folder synchronize automatically between the computer you install it on. • You can access your files from any computer as long as you have the internet. What can you do with it? • DropBox also allows you to store photos and view them in a slideshow. • DropBox also allows you to share the photos on the gallery page there is a URL that you can email or post on your website so other people can view the photos too. • DropBox also has a shared folder so users can share files with each other. Video

  4. How can DropBox benefit the classroom? • Teachers can have students submit work through DropBox. • Teachers can use it to get work and notes to students who missed class. • Students don’t need to panic if they forgot their USB as long as the file is in their DropBox they can access it from any computer with internet. • Students can share work during a group project without being together.

  7. Step 1: • Click Free Download button on DropBox

  8. Step 2: • Save the DropBox application.

  9. Step 3: • Open DropBox Installer by clicking on it.

  10. Step 4: • Click Install when DropBox Setup Window appears.

  11. Step 5: • After installation is complete. • A welcome to DropBox Window will appear. • Click “I don’t have a DropBox account” button. If you do not have on setup already if you have an account click the “I already have a DropBox account” button. • Then Click Next. 1 2

  12. Step 6: • Fill in your information to create your DropBox account. Then Click Next. • The only thing you are required to give them is a first name and a valid email address and to make up a password.

  13. Step 7: • Select your DropBox size. • Click the 2GB if you want the free one. • Then Click Next.

  14. Step 8: • Take a brief tour to see how DropBox works. • Click Next to see tour. • To skip the tour Click “Skip tour and finish”.

  15. Step 9: • Installation and set up is complete. • Click finish.

  16. Step 10: • Open your DropBox folder.

  17. Step 11: • Copy files into DropBox folder.

  18. Finished • Now you can access those files from any computer with Internet access.
