Early Adopters • Early adopters in GENI: • OnTimeMeasure - Ohio State University • INSTOOLS - University of Kentucky • Current usage in other projects: • Language Learning Community for sharing culturally authentic material and training courses • Internal to CNRI for sharing documents and presentations across groups
Prototype Transition to IRODS • Harry Mussman believes • The User Workspace and the Search service (the website) components of the prototype can be harnessed and re-used • Jeanne Ohren at BBN is working with us to take over those two components from CNRI • Handle System could potentially be used for managing the identifiers for the archive
Prototype Transition to IRODS • Shu Huang highlighted a few challenges • The two phased-approach of data movement may not work specifically for their current use • Their current use has about six phases, mostly automated • A generic measurement IRODS archive may re-use the workspace component, search service, Handle System, etc., but more discussions needed with appropriate GIMI personnel involved
