Overview • You will be interviewing your seat partner about an interesting event in their lives. • Sample events: • What did you do on summer break? • What is a fond memory you have of family or friends? • What is an interesting vacation that you have taken? • What is an event that has shaped your life?

  3. 60 seconds to brainstorm silently!

  4. When you are being interviewed… • Think of your interesting story BEFORE beginning the interview • Provide as much detail as possible • Speak slowly and clearly – remember your partner is taking notes • Review your partner’s notes at the end of the interview to ensure accuracy

  5. When you are interviewing… • TAKE NOTES! You will be writing a story from these notes • Listen carefully, and ask for clarification when you need it • Ask questions in order to get more information • “What was that like?” • “What else did you do?” • “Would you do anything differently if you got to do it again?”

  6. Requirements • You will write a one-page article about the story your partner told you • Does not have to be typed, but it can be • PROOFREAD for spelling and grammar – it counts towards your grade • Article will be worth a total of 20 points
