MISSION AND CORE VALUES Our mission is to support the university’s strategic imperatives by anticipating and meeting the needs of a changing community through high-quality, innovative services designed to advance student success and cutting edge research.
WHO ARE WE? There are 7 departments within Human Resources (HR) that support the university. Solutions Center Employee Relations Compensation & Benefits Organization & Professional Development Administrative Services Metrics & Data Analytics Communications
WHO WE SUPPORT We provide support and guidance to the following groups:
HOW WE COMMUNICATE We regularly communicate updates in a variety of formats to engage MSU employees and departments.
CUSTOMER SERVICE We provide day-to-day support to MSU employees and departments.
POLICIES & PROCEDURES We provide development, administrative and revision support for HR policies.
UNION CONTRACT NEGOTIATION We work with labor unions for contract negotiations.
EMPLOYMENT/HIRING SUPPORT We support and process a variety of hiring/employment requests.
BENEFITS, CLASSIFICATION & COMPENSATION SUPPORT We support a variety of benefit enrollees, claims and requests, including:
HR INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY We support the EBS Portal and SAP systems.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT We provide development and training opportunities to maximize employee potential.
